This agreement is made between you (“Owner”) and P2C Digital Strategies (a ministry of Power to Change — “Publisher”).
Whereas Owner and Publisher mutually desire to have the Article/Script published/republished and widely distributed by Publisher, Owner grants perpetual, irrevocable, and unlimited permission for Publisher to publish and distribute the described Article/Script in varying formats, editions, adaptations and foreign-language translations. This permission shall include, without need for further approval, distribution in or on any form of media, including but not limited to print, magazines, books, Internet, websites, DVD, recordings, broadcast, or any other digital format and means of distribution or communication available now or in the future. It is agreed that further approval is not required for any changes, adaptations, translations or republishing.
Owner attests to being either the copyright owner or the legally authorized agent of copyright owner of Article/Script, and being legally able to grant and assign such rights, and that Article/Script does not infringe any copyright or proprietary right of any other person. Owner acknowledges there is no remuneration for the writing of or distribution of Article/Script. Publisher and Owner agree that this agreement is only a licence to publish/republish Article/Script and does not assign or transfer copyright ownership to the Publisher.
Owner grants exclusive publishing rights of Article/Script to Publisher for six months, after which, Owner is free to submit the same Article/Script to other publishers. This exclusivity does not apply to Owner’s personal blog or website. Owner agrees that permission from Publisher (P2C Digital Strategies) must be granted to re-publish with third parties prior to the aforementioned six-month stipulation.
Publisher agrees to include with the Article/Script the copyright information designated by Owner at time of agreement. The Publisher agrees to display the name of the Author along with the Article/Script and, if provided by the Owner, a link to a short bio. The Author acknowledges that it is his or her own responsibility to update the information in the bio.
Publisher and Owner agree that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and that resolution of any apparently irreconcilable difference will be via arbitration.
By submitting the online Content Release Form, Owner affirms that he/she understands the terms of this agreement, and grants Publisher a licence to publish/republish and distribute Article/Script under the specified terms.
